Meet Dr. Joseph Legg II

Dr Legg II, DMD

Dr. Legg II is a board-certified endodontist who was born and raised in NEPA. Dr. Legg earned his BS in neuroscience at the University of Pittsburgh. Following his time at Pitt, he moved to Philadelphia and earned his DMD at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine.  After graduating from Penn Dental, Dr. Legg was accepted to and received his specialty certificate in endodontics from the University of Pennsylvania Department of Endodontics.  

Following residency, Dr. Legg became a diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. This status is the highest possible certification for an Endodontist, reserved for those with deep understanding of Endodontic science and superior clinical ability.

Dr. Legg’s specialty training is in endodontics but he has particular interest in and has received significant training in endodontic microsurgery.  Under the mentorship of Penn Endo’s Drs. Syngcuk Kim and Samuel Kratchman,  Joe has become an expert in root end surgery in all regions of the mouth and has lectured professionally on piezotome aided bone window surgery at the American Association of Endodontics annual meeting.
